Judge Rick Flier is a Neutral working for ADR Services, Inc. in San Francisco (2005 – present) handling mediations, arbitrations, and special-master and discovery-referee assignments. Prior to joining ADR Services, he was a Superior Court Judge for the County of Contra Costa for more than 20 years. Among his various memberships and professional activities, he has been a member of the Board of Governors and the Board of Trustees of UC Law SF Alumni, a member of the California State Bar Committee on Alternative Dispute Resolution, the California Judges’ Association, and the Robert G. McGrath American Inns of Court. He was the Contra Costa County Trial Judge of the Year for the Alameda Contra Costa Trial Lawyers’ Association in 2000 and the IABA Judge of the Year in 2010.
